Best Regards Pablo Rey General Manager Hesperia Lanzarote Dear Customer, Wintry weather is nothing new to us – we have been safely and reliably delivering to our customers in all 50 states through the coldest of winters for decades. But due to the unusual weather most of the country is experiencing, we wanted to update you on what we are doing to ensure your propane needs are met. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the demand for propane was at the highest recorded level during this past November and December. This was followed by extreme cold in late December and early January, impacting the majority of the nation. Across the country, emergency exemptions have been issued in response to the severe weather conditions. Additionally, the extreme weather has caused interruptions in the availability and delivery of propane. In areas of the United States, the Department of Transportation has issued emergency declarations to allow drivers additional hours on the road to make propane deliveries. As our customer, you can be confident that your comfort, safety, and satisfaction are our primary concerns. We invest heavily in our equipment, systems and employees each year to ensure that we are safe, responsive and reliable, no matter the weather. That is why I want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to ensure that we have sufficient storage and supply to keep up with this unprecedented demand. We are utilizing our nationwide fleet of transport vehicles and railcars to meet all your energy needs. As the demand for propane increases, these nationwide resources available to the AmeriGas family of companies provide us with an unmatched ability to service our customers during these high demand periods. We have increased staffing and extended Saturday hours to handle the tremendous volume of calls coming into some of our locations. Our drivers are out in full force as we are taking full advantage of emergency driver exemptions often delivering from the earliest hours until late into the night, day after day. I apologize for any frustration or inconvenience you may have experienced due to the unusually high demand this winter. I would like to assure you that we are the best positioned propane company with more resources and supply points than any other propane delivery company. We take our responsibility for your safety and service needs very seriously and we thank you for your patience during these difficult weather conditions. Sincerely, Jerry Sheridan President & CEO
