There is no farm for this. Nobody plants it and nobody brings in a crop.

It seeps out of cliff faces high up, very slowly, over a long stretch of time.

Collectors go up for it in a narrow window when the weather allows and scrape it off by hand.

After that it has to be purified. Dissolved, filtered, dried, and done carefully or it is ruined.

None of that can be hurried along.

It is also why the very cheap versions are almost never the pure material.

Worth knowing before you put two listings side by side and assume they are the same thing.
