Dear Participant:

Congratulations! You are scheduled for an Adventure Education Program Event at Minnesota State

University, Mankato. You will have some unique opportunities to challenge and support yourself and your group

members. We hope that you have a great program, including learning new things about yourself and having a lot

of fun.

Here is some information that can help you prepare for the day:

What to expect from an "adventure-based challenge program":

Adventure-based means taking calculated risks (physically, mentally and/or emotionally). Risks used to

challenge you may include: honesty, team-building, decision-making, speaking up in a group,

playing with free-abandonment, trust, and thinking in new and different ways.

Challenges are the activities used to challenge you to take calculated risks as a group member or an

individual. Depending on what your group leader scheduled, these activities will be "low" close

to the ground, or "high" in the air while attached to a safety (belay) rope, or a combination

program of "low" and "high" challenges.

What to wear:

Loose, comfortable clothing in which you can easily move.

Shoes with closed-toes, soft soles and no high heels (no open shoes or sandals).

Layers, so that you can adjust to the temperature (bring one more layer than you think you will need!).

Rain gear, and/or clothes appropriate to the weather conditions (hats, gloves, etc.).

What to bring:

• Water—There is no water on site! Bring at least two quarts of liquid to drink for yourself (water or sports

drinks---NO alcoholic beverages!) In addition, your group may want to bring an extra container of hot drinks

if you are coming on a cold day.

Food—You may bring food as it applies to your group's schedule (check with your group leader).

• Sunscreen and insect repellent—We have very little shade and sometimes plenty of mosquitoes.

• Your Medical and Liability Release Forms! Your group leader has been sent liability release and medical

forms to give to you in advance of attending the Adventure Education Program. Be sure you read and sign

them. You will be unable to participate without these signed forms! You are encouraged to consult your

medical professionals if you have any questions about your participation. Please, consult your physician if

you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, and/or if you have any heart conditions. The forms can also

be found digitally at http://www.mnsu.edu/adventure/forms/

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Dear Participant,

Welcome and thank you for booking onto the Totnes Transition (Launch/Thrive) course.

Practicalities

Dates: Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2008.

Times: On both days training begin at 9:30am sharp and finish at 5:30.

Please arrive anytime from 8:45am on Saturday for registration and welcome.

If you haven't already done so you will need to pay the balance of your course fee on arrival.

Venue:

Getting there / travel information:

The training is non residential, if you need accommodation ... (link to local tourist info or a list of

recommended B&B's)

You may bring food to share, or if you prefer, there are many local shops to buy lunch or cafes within

easy walking distance. Other meals are entirely up to you. We will be providing coffee and a selection

of teas throughout the day.

Please feel free to bring laptops and/or recording devices if you feel these might help you, however

they are not necessary. We will be providing you with background material and the presentations we

will be making during the training. We can copy these onto a CD, but memory sticks or onto laptops

works just the same, and saves resources. Please bring memory sticks with 330 + mbts of memory if

this is how you would like to receive your copy of the materials. We are, however, now

recommending using DropBox http://www.dropbox.com , free software you can down load from the

internet onto your laptop which means trainers can share these resources with you directly from their

laptop to yours including any updates. Once you have the software installed your trainer can send you

a link to their folders inviting you to download them onto your laptop.

What we would like you to think about before the training

1) Any information on your transition town that you can share, posters you have used, leaflets,

brochures, any printed/audio/visual material that you have used or assisted in your TT initiative. This

will be a mutual learning environment!

2) Your story is important. Take some time to reflect on your journey regarding transition. When did

you realise that we needed to make big changes to the way we live. How did you hear about

Transition and what got you interested? Why do you want to be part of a Transition process?

Transition Network is a company limited by guarantee registered in England, number 6135675 and a

charity registered in England & Wales, number 1128675

Dear Participant of "12-th Polish Workshop on Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collisions",

We have composed the program, available at

https://indico.cern.ch/event/544641/timetable/#20161104

Please, verify if your contribution is properly located. Due to a large number of contributed talks we

were forced to make the presentations quite short (please, note that the last 5 min. of the allocated

time is reserved for discussion). We were also reluctant to shorten coffee or lunch breaks, as they

contribute to the loose spirit of the meeting, with much time for interaction. We hope you

understand and make your presentations to the point.

We understand that some of you may arrive late or leave early. We will appreciate this information,

as this will allow us to make catering adjustments.

See you soon in Kielce!
