welcome to Beat Pain.org

Thank you for your inquiry.

We attempt to answer all email inquiries in the order in which they are received and within 2-3 business days of receipt, excluding weekends and University holidays.  During heavy processing periods, like the start of term, it may take longer.  For urgent inquiries, please phone a counselor in our Call Center Monday-Friday 8-5 EST at 765-494-5050 or visit our office in Schleman Hall, Room 305.  Answers to many general questions can be found on our website at www.purdue.edu/dfa

Your questions are important to us and we will answer them as quickly as possible.  To aid in this effort, please include the student ID number and do not send multiple messages asking the same question.  We appreciate your patience and are pleased to serve you.

The University will be closed in observance of the holidays between Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, January 2, 2018.  We will reopen normal business hours on Wednesday, January 3rd.   Email will not be monitored or answered during the closure.

We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season!

Note: The earliest date that students will receive a refund of financial aid in excess of the Bursar’s billing for the spring 2018 term is Friday, January 5th.  To insure that you receive your refund in a timely fashion, you will need to successfully confirm your enrollment on your myPurdue account before this date.

§  The most common reason that awarded financial aid does not appear as a credit on the Bursar’s bill is because the student is not registered for enough credit hours.

§  Financial aid eligibility is awarded based on full-time status (i. e. enrollment of 12 or more credit hours per term for undergrad and professional students, 8 or more hours per term for graduate students), unless you have previously notified our office that you will be attending less-than full-time credit hours and your financial aid was modified accordingly.

§  Once registrations reaches full-time status, the aid will systematically be applied to the bill within 2 business days and does not require human intervention by the student or a staff member.

Thank you,

DFA Staff
